Fishman Prefix Pro Blend PRO-MAN-P51 Narrow Format Onboard Preamp System

Designed for slim-bodied or smaller-bodied acoustic-electrics, the Fishman Prefix Pro Blend PRO-MAN-P51 bezel occupies 1/3 less space than standard Prefix models and packs features similar to the Prefix Plus series.

Fishman Prefix Pro Blend Installation

Both the manufacturer’s and our recommendation is to have a qualified guitar tech or luthier install the Prefix Pro Blend system. We recognize there are lots of players out there who work on their guitars and are capable of performing certain work, but this install really requires someone with a lots of experience. There are just too many considerations. Preamp placement for clearance for braces and linings is critical. Sides are prone to cracking, so one has to be really careful and know what they are doing when making the cutout for the preamp module. Any mistakes with this install and you may end up with non-reversible damage to your instrument. If you truly must install this system yourself, please proceed with utmost care!

Please also note that Fishman’s instructions, while clear and concise, are tailored for installations on steel string guitars. You will have to do a bit of mental transposing and apply the principles outlined in the installation guide as they would pertain to a classical guitar.
