The Cordoba Fusion 14 Maple is a crossover nylon string guitar designed to play and feel like a steel string acoustic. It features a solid European spruce top, flamed maple back and sides, a cutaway, a 14-fret-to-the-body neck, a radiused ebony fingerboard, and adjustable truss rods. The bridge, binding, and headstock overlay are made of Indian rosewood, and the rosette is hand inlaid using maple and rosewood rings. The Fusion 14 Maple is equipped with the Fishman Presys Blend pickup, and includes a Cordoba Deluxe padded, water-resistant gig bag.
All guitars purchased on the All Strings Nylon website undergo a thorough setup performed by a professional luthier, Chuck Marfione, at no extra cost to our customers. The setup includes the following steps:
- Inspect the instrument to ensure its cosmetic and structural integrity
- Level and polish the frets, adjust the nut and saddle and, where present, the truss rod to achieve optimal action and eliminate string buzz
- Adjust intonation if deemed necessary
- Condition the fingerboard to protect it from dirt, perspiration, and drying out
- Inspect the tuning machines to ensure they turn smoothly
- Pre-stretch the strings to minimize string break-in
- Test the electronics if present

I recently started taking guitar lessons, but with a steel string (Martin). with my large hands it's been a real learning curve between the narrow neck and steel strings on my virgin finger tips which also limited the length of my practice sessions. Firstly, the look alone will sell the guitar and it plays and sounds equally beautiful. In some ways it's prettier than my Martin D16 but of course they are respectfully in different classes. This will probably be my primary guitar for some time and I'll transfer to steel as my skill grow. Anyway, the 12 maple has a bright voice that just resonates when you let ring out. Great jog Cordoba.. (Posted on 4/1/2014)
