Boveda One-Step Hygrometer Calibration Kit 75% RH

The Boveda One-Step Hygrometer Calibration Kit helps you monitor your guitar’s or uke’s environment as accurately as possible. To keep your instrument in top playing condition, the humidity level inside its case should be within 40% to 60% relative humidity (RH). However, both digital and analog hygrometers, even the expensive ones, are not necessarily very accurate and their readings can be off by 5% or even more. By calibrating the hygrometer, you ensure accurate RH readings.

The Boveda One-Step Hygrometer Calibration kit utilizes Boveda’s 75% RH packet, which is widely used and accepted by chemists and lab professionals to determine the accuracy of any hygrometer (this is also known as the “salt test”).

Simply place your hygrometer inside the included bag, close the zipper, and wait 24 hours. A perfectly calibrated hygrometer will read 75%. If your hygrometer reads above or below that number, record or remember the number of percentage points it is off from 75% and make a mental adjustment each time you take a reading.
