The normal tension Aquila 55C Ambra 900 classical guitar string set was developed using synthetic materials to recreate the sound of gut trebles and silk-wound basses used in the late romantic period. Trebles are a gut-colored Supernylgut which is a denser material than Nylgut and more closely approximates the physical characteristics of true gut. Basses are silverplated copper wound over Nylgut multifilament core.
