Not to be confused with the Boveda replacement packets, the D'Addario Planet Waves Two-Way Humidification System Conditioning Packets (PW-HPCP-03) allow you to safely restore an instrument or case that had been exposed to extreme dryness or had previously not been sufficiently humidified. Use the PW-HPCP-03 conditioning packets BEFORE the Boveda replacement packets in order to prime your instrument’s environment with appropriate humidification level faster and thus optimize the effectiveness of the Planet Waves two-way humidification system.
The Planet Waves conditioning packets fit easily in the pouches that come with the Planet Waves Two-Way Humidification System kit (PW-HPK-01) — use 1 packet with the headstock pouch and 2 packets with the soundhole pouch. Once the optimal humidity level is reached, you can switch to the Boveda replacement packets provided in the PW-HPK-01 kit. (Replacement packets are also available separately: PW-HPRP-03 or PW-HPRP-12.)
