Inspired by a 1920s Domingo Esteso, the Cordoba Luthier C12-CD features several modern design elements such as lattice bracing and a raised fingerboard, which are normally only found on much higher priced instruments. We're impressed with the caliber of construction and the quality of materials used in the guitar. This guitar has a very lively cedar top and produces deep sonorous basses and very sweet trebles with lots of sustain, a nice balanced mid-range too.
Constructed of a solid Canadian cedar top and solid Indian rosewood back and sides, this guitar includes several nice touches including a vintage styled hand-inlaid mother-of-pearl and ebony rosette, a beautiful flamed maple wedge on its solid Indian rosewood back complemented by elegant maple bindings, and a very attractive set of tuning machines with ebony handles. The neck is carved in traditional classical profile and has an ebony fingerboard. The adjustable truss rod allows you to really dial-in the action. Very cleanly built both inside and out, this instrument dons an impeccable high gloss PU finish laid on at just the right thickness to protect the instrument but not mask its natural beauty. Comes with a Cordoba HumiCase humidified hardshell archtop case. Also available with a solid European spruce top.
All guitars purchased on the All Strings Nylon website undergo a thorough setup performed by a professional luthier, Chuck Marfione, at no extra cost to our customers. The setup includes the following steps:
- Inspect the instrument to ensure its cosmetic and structural integrity
- Level and polish the frets, adjust the nut and saddle and, where present, the truss rod to achieve optimal action and eliminate string buzz
- Adjust intonation if deemed necessary
- Condition the fingerboard to protect it from dirt, perspiration, and drying out
- Inspect the tuning machines to ensure they turn smoothly
- Pre-stretch the strings to minimize string break-in
- Test the electronics if present

Wow! After doing a lot of research and reading all the reviews about All Strings, I decided to take a chance and order my Córdoba C12 through them. Right from my first call, Chuck was awesome and very patient with me about all my questions about the C12 and other similar guitars. I have a Córdoba C9, so asked many questions relating to the differences between them. Chuck is very knowledgeable and provided a lot of insight. I wasn’t able to find a C12 locally to try out, so I really appreciated Chuck’s opinion about the differences between the two guitars. And boy was he spot on. When I received and inspected the guitar, it was beautiful! I was impressed with the personal letter they provided which explained their setup process and what they did specifically to ensure the guitar was flawless and ready to play. All I had to do was tune it and it was ready to play. If you are considering this guitar, you will be very pleased with the bright sounds and tones it projects. My C9 is a nice guitar, but there is an obvious difference between the two. I am so happy I trusted my intuition about All Strings because they made my declsion easier and I am very happy with the C12. Even now when I called with questions about the various Strings, Chuck was very helpful. Very pleased with All Strings! (Posted on 8/20/2018)

I was looking for a high quality guitar at a reasonable price, and to have professional set up so i can just focus on playing. I love this guitar. I was very impressed with the personal service of Chuck and the help and care in selecting the right guitar. I am an intermediate player and wanted to have a quality instrument to play. I'm impressed with the sound and tone quality of the Cordoba C12 Cedar top, it is loud and has a beautiful sound. Chuck did a fantastic job working on the details so that when I took it out of the box it played beautifully. It took a bit long to get the free professional set-up and delivery, but it was worth the wait. I am glad that he did not rush and took the time on mine and the other customer's guitars. That is how a good business is built. I would definitely order another guitar from Chuck! (Posted on 11/20/2017)

I am an intermediate level fingerstyle guitarist who wishes that he had started playing 40 years ago. I have 3 Martins and a Taylor steel string guitar. I've plateaued a bit and decided that a classical guitar might just be the change of pace that I needed. My internet research convinced me that Cordoba represented the best value. A very convincing YouTube video compared the Cordoba C12 CD to a $7000 custom classical guitar and found only subtle differences. My local music store failed to deliver. I ordered the Cordoba from All Strings Nylon because of their emphasis on wood care, inspection, and free set up. Their attention to detail precludes a "ship within 24 hour" turnaround. Patience is handsomely rewarded, however. The Cordoba C12 Cedar is an amazing instrument. The figured maple on the back is beautiful. Its construction rivals that of my Taylor and Martins. The elevated fingerboard and lattice bracing, not usually seen at this price point, produces a tone with rich harmonic content both loud and sustained. The set up was spot on. Five stars awarded for both guitar and All Stings Nylon. Remember to register your guitar with the Cordoba web site. The Humicase which is standard with the C12 entitles you to a limited lifetime warrantee.

My Cordoba new C12/CD-IN classical guitar purchased from All Strings Nylon is absolutely beautiful. Warm cedar, booming bass, good intonation and note separation. The Cordoba worksmanship makes my old Ramirez student model look shoddy by comparison. China or not, it is well worth the money. Chuck Marfione set it up with good tight action, much easier to play above the 5th fret than my old Takamine.
Chuck also installed an L. R. Baggs Lyric Classical pickup, which is a vast improvement over my old piezo system. No more \"quack\". When played over a PA system, I\'m guessing it will need only minimal signal conditioning. I was unsure about the \"hype\" surrounding this microphone pickup, but tried it anyway. It is well worth the money. I was so paranoid about feedback, I even bought a sound hole cover. So far I haven\'t needed it, under a variety of guitar/speaker geometries.
ASN gave me personal attention and advice, much better than you will ever receive at a big box guitar chain. Their selection of mid-high end CG\'s blew me away. Plus you can actually sit & play a variety of guitars in quiet solitude, without an army of amped electrics blaring in your ear.
Best guitar purchase I ever made. (Posted on 9/6/2014)
