The handmade Cordoba C10-CD is one of the staple models in the Luthier series. Along with the sweet, warm tone provided by its all-solid construction, the C10-CD features the vintage elegance of a hand-inlaid mother-of-pearl rosette inspired by a 1920s Domingo Esteso design, and a solid Canadian cedar top with solid Indian rosewood back and sides. Other notable features of the C10-CD include its black and gold tuning machines and adjustable truss rod.
All guitars purchased on the All Strings Nylon website undergo a thorough setup performed by a professional luthier, Chuck Marfione, at no extra cost to our customers. The setup includes the following steps:
- Inspect the instrument to ensure its cosmetic and structural integrity
- Level and polish the frets, adjust the nut and saddle and, where present, the truss rod to achieve optimal action and eliminate string buzz
- Adjust intonation if deemed necessary
- Condition the fingerboard to protect it from dirt, perspiration, and drying out
- Inspect the tuning machines to ensure they turn smoothly
- Pre-stretch the strings to minimize string break-in
- Test the electronics if present

I am very happy with this guitar and believe it is worth the upgrade from the C5 or C7. I get many compliments on the beautiful construction and finish of the guitar and the tonality is about as good as you can get in the price range. The guitar took some time to receive, but was shipped and set up perfectly and ready to play. Can highly recommend. (Posted on 12/7/2018)

Why not buy a guitar that is exactly the way you want it to play and sound? Review by Joe

I was directed to this site from Cordoba Guitars web-page. And so glad I was. I was expecting to receive a guitar with a buzz and poor action as I’ve been told that the factory doesn’t fine tune the guitars before shipping them out. By ordering on-line or from a retail store - that’s what I’d get. I dreaded having to look up a Luthier to get my guitar setup and putting more money into an already expensive investment.
Chuck is unlike the guitar people you find in a retail store who has other customers he has to attend to while you’re there trying to make a decision. They may have someone to do setups, but it won’t be a Professional Luthier.
Chuck is a Luthier by trade. He gives extraordinary service and listens to the way you want the guitar to play. And when I received the guitar, it was exactly to my liking. Oh, and he didn’t charge extra for doing it.
You can’t go wrong buying a guitar here. You’ll be so happy you did.

I'm an old Rock & Roller from the 60's - played Fender Strat's for many years, gave it up quite some time ago. I've been searching for the right classical guitar for several years - I've played several that were in the 3 - 5K range and many in 2-500 range. After searching the internet & my local music store, I found "All Strings Nylon". Chuck & I emailed back & forth several times & it became clear that the guitar I wanted was a Cordoba C10 in the Luthier series with rosewood back & sides & Cedar top. Chuck offers a free set up, which is very complete - something no one else does. I did have to wait a while to get my guitar because it was not in stock at ASN, but as soon as is was Chuck set it up & sent it my way. I let the guitar settle in for a week, as I live in Montana & Chuck in North Carolina - it sounds as good, if not better than any of the very pricey guitars I've tried, the fit & finish is beautiful, the action is perfect (thanks Chuck) the rosewood back on my guitar is beautiful - I could not ask for anything better. I would not hesitate to recommend ASN & Chuck for anyone interested in a great classical guitar. The Cordoba C10 is flat out a great guitar (Posted on 3/30/2017)

I’m an experienced steel-string guitarist and I was looking for my first classical guitar with a budget of around $750. I tried a few Cordobas (C5, C9) and a Kremona at Guitar Center. I checked out an old Yamaha and a used Kenny Hill New World Estudio at a local shop. I played a Cordoba C10 in cedar at another local shop. It sounded great but had some finish flaws I wasn’t willing to live with. I looked on Reverb.com, trying to save some money, then learned about the crapshoot in buying MIRC-refurbished used guitars. I next discovered All Strings Nylon and asked a few questions about the Estudio and Cordoba models. I received extended answers from the owner, luthier Chuck Marfione. I asked more questions and got even more answers and advice. I closed in on the Cordoba C10 in cedar. Chuck sent photos of the actual guitar I would be buying, gave assurances that it would not be a sonic dud (Chuck is picky and sends back examples that aren’t up to snuff). He also offered a free set up, a free upgrade to a Humicase, and a small discount from the street price.
I decided that for all these benefits it was worth spending a little more than a used one would cost, so I ordered the C10 in cedar from All Strings Nylon. The setup took a few days, and Chuck upgraded the free shipping to second-day priority.
The guitar arrived as promised, with no blemishes, great action, no protruding fret ends, and very good intonation. Chuck provided a two-page letter with pictures taken during the setup and describing the guitar and all that was done, including string heights, construction and installation of a new saddle, repair of minor fretboard pinholes, fret polishing, and fret end dressing.
The bass tones at first seemed to overpower the treble, perhaps due largely to poor technique, but in a week or so that disappeared. The case had a broken hinge and several others that did not close as tightly as they should. But one phone call to Chuck and he promptly arranged for Cordoba to ship a new one directly to me. It arrived within a week and works great.
I was very happy with my experience purchasing this guitar and highly recommend All Strings Nylon. The service is fantastic, and as promised, the guitar is an excellent example of the model. (Posted on 11/29/2016)

This is a great guitar. I cannot believe the quality and sound at that price. It plays much easier than my old classical and sounds much, much better. The tuners are effortless to use and it stays in tune! The solid cedar top and solid rosewood back and sides coupled with a bone but and bone saddle not doubt are the reason for the terrific sound. Playing notes at the twelfth fret are almost perfect compared with open strings. Couldn't be happier and Chuck and Magz are wonderful to work with. (Posted on 3/11/2015)
